Season two has started.

Damm, what a start!

We are talking one of the best episode ever, and it shows. Everything about this episode is just fantastic- PERFECT! This episode was the one that made me goes OMG!

!!!!

That exclamation is usually saved for Bloody Monday (due to the fact their twist always gets me by surprise).

!!!!

So, we start with Iwasaki, all rich and powerful and looking so so tidy, enjoying Western food (that looks like either grilled pork or lamb) with geisha entertainment in a huge posh indoor surrounding. It seems Goto Shojiro wanted to sell his non-profitable mines (look out for Goto Shojiro wiki) to Yataro via a representative. But Yataro doesn't care. The reporter is still there to talk about Ryoma. So he did.

Alas, Ryoma was missing. He was literally missing from his own drama. Really. It's time to set the story on what's going on, not only in Tosa, but everywhere in Japan. The turmoil has started. The joui fraction has become more violence, they wanted to take charge. Goto instructed both Yataro and his cop-partner to hunt Ryoma.

But he's still missing from the story. I love the way the script tied Ryoma's disappearance with his non-appearance in the story. However, when he did appeared, he appeared with style. He's dirty, in torn clothing, with unkempt hair and a slightly tipsy behaviour. He's also quite boastful and confident when he cut the pants of those bounty hunters (with his short sword! not katana, but a sword short! That's just... cool!). And he made Yataro cried! (Goodness, both of them are in love).

But deep down, we are still seeing Ryoma from Season 1. He still talks to Takechi-san, trying to change his mind. But Takechi won't listen to him anymore. Not when he got so much at stake. *sigh* But my favourite scene is when Ryoma walked away from the dead body, the man who tried to capture him, aka, Yataro's cop-partner, aka, the first man Izo has killed. He looks resigned, sad and disappointed - there's no turning back now. He needs to move.

That is why we would probably see a different Ryoma in Season 2. The guy that was crazy enough, according to doko-chan, to flip the world. We won't see a teenager who's excited about the world anymore, we will see a man who changed the world instead.

And Masha, how the hell did you suddenly developed an acting THAT GOOD??!! Oi! And you never show this before? If I want to rank your acting skills, I would say...

1. Ryomaden episode 14
2. Tengoku no Daisuke e
3. Yougisha X no Keshin

Okay, I think I better stop at 3. If not, I'll do lots of episodes from your errr... ten dramas? Goodness, 20 years in the industry and only a handful of dramas, ten albums and 25 singles. You are lazy by Japanese standard. LOL. Love you nevertheless.
