Solar Eclipse
Jul. 22nd, 2009 03:31 pmNope, can't see anything from here. It's cloudy, it's warm and humid and there's no I want to go out at this hour. So far, the sun is still shining brightly. I don't expect a full eclipse, maybe a partial but there's still no changes. And so far also, no reported of any tsunami yet (yes, the government has officially sent a letter warning everyone not to go out to the sea least the pull of gravity is too strong).
My last viewing is 11th Aug 2001 in Stuggart, Germany. That's really dark but it only last for about a minute or two. I always remember the carnival atmosphere surrounding it (and also my friend's mother fabulous cooking). I expect it, it's summer, everyone is going out on a holiday. Another viewing is when I was a child, eight years old I think. I remember that because I've been told repeated, OVER AND OVER not to see the sun directly. I also remember the time, 1340hr. Guess my memory is not that bad after all.
